Shay Gafniel

Shay Gafniel is a Software Engineer currently employed at Foundational since January 2024. Prior to this role, Shay worked at Blue dot from January 2020 to December 2023, where experience included positions as a Back End Developer, responsible for designing scalable backend systems and microservices architecture, and as a Software Engineering Team Lead, overseeing a full stack team and mentoring junior developers. Earlier experience includes roles as a Full Stack Developer at Visitt, focusing on a Real Estate Management Platform, and a QA Automation Engineer at Elisra, where automated test scripts were developed for .NET systems. Shay began a career in quality assurance with the IDF C4I & Cyber Security Division, serving as QA Team Lead and contributing to quality assurance initiatives. Shay holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from the Holon Institute of Technology, completed in 2019.
