Frans Tjallingii

Frans Tjallingii has a diverse range of work experiences in various industries. Frans is currently the CEO of 7Gen, a company that focuses on helping fleet operators in the medium and heavy-duty segments convert to electric vehicles. Frans provides turnkey solutions by offering vehicles and chargers as a service on one monthly bill. Their main focus is on last mile delivery, garbage trucks, school buses, and shuttle buses.

Frans also serves as the Board Chair and Director for the Port of Prince Rupert, which is North America's fastest-growing port for transpacific trade. Frans has been a board member since May 2017 and became the Chair in September 2019.

In 2015, Frans co-founded Foundations for Social Change and currently serves as the Board Chair. Frans is also a Co-Founder and Director of Circular Rubber Technologies Inc., a company that specializes in developing technologies for recycling rubber.

Frans has held various advisory roles, including being an Advisor for Awesense from January 2019 to April 2021. Frans was also the Co-Founder and CEO of First Coin Capital, an advisory service and technology development company focused on blockchain, cryptocurrency, and token-based capital markets from December 2016 to November 2018. First Coin Capital was later sold to Galaxy Digital.

Additionally, Frans has experience in the maritime industry, having served as the President of Saam Smit Towage Canada Inc./Royal Boskalis Westminster from May 2011 to November 2016. Frans was responsible for providing harbor towage services in the ports of Vancouver and other ports in western Canada.

Prior to this, Frans was the General Manager of SMIT Internationale Gabon S.A. from February 2008 to April 2011, where they oversaw operations in Gabon.

Overall, Frans Tjallingii has a wealth of experience in various leadership and advisory roles across different industries, including technology, transportation, social change, and maritime services.

Frans Tjallingii pursued higher education starting in 1994, when they enrolled at the University of Groningen. Frans studied there for five years and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Marine Biology in 1999. After completing their first degree, Tjallingii furthered their education by attending the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University from 2002 to 2004. During this period, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in International Business Management.
