Alissa Getzin, MSW, APSW has a diverse work experience in the field of social work. Alissa started their career as a Supervised Visitation Worker at Professional Services Group in 2010, where they supervised visits and ensured the safety of the children. In 2011, they worked as a Service Coordinator at Lutheran Social Services of WI & Upper MI, where they facilitated services for families with developmental needs. The following year, they interned at Waukesha County Department of Health and Human Services, assisting with home visits and court documents for out-of-home care cases. From 2012 to 2014, Alissa worked as an Ongoing Case Manager at SaintA, where they managed a caseload of families, collaborated with various professionals, and participated in court hearings to achieve permanency for clients. Alissa then moved on to Anu Family Services, Inc. in 2014, where they served as a Treatment Foster Care Permanency Specialist, recruiting and supervising treatment foster families and advocating for the best interests of youth in care. Most recently, Alissa worked at Foundations Health & Wholeness as the Regional Director of Foster Care for the Greater Milwaukee Area. Throughout their career, Alissa has demonstrated a commitment to social work ethics and achieving successful outcomes for the individuals and families they serve.

Alissa Getzin, MSW, APSW, received their education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Alissa obtained their Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the field of Social Work from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater from 2006 to 2010.

Additionally, Alissa Getzin holds the certification of Advanced Practice Social Worker, granted by the State of Wisconsin in February 2015. Alissa has also obtained a certification called Diana Screen, without specifying the institution or the specific month and year of obtaining it.
