Dan Sommer is the founder partner at Founder Collective. Dan has over two decades of experience in the field of marketing and education.

Dan started their career as a marketing manager at Digitas. Dan then became the vice president of Zustek Corporation, and later the COO and co-founder of SimplyDone Business Solutions. After that, they became the associate project manager at Sapient.

In 2007, they founded Trilogy Education, a company that provides educational services to adults. Dan served as the CEO and chairman of the company for five years. In 2012, they became the president of Global Education at Zeta Global, where they worked for two years.

In 2014, they joined Amerigo Education as a board member. Dan also served on the board of Sales Impact Academy and Unibuddy. In 2016, they became the founding partner of Empowered Education. Dan served on the board of the company for seven years.

In 2019, they became the founder partner at Founder Collective. Dan is also a limited partner at Stage 2 Capital.

Dan Sommer attended Cornell Dyson School of Applied Economics & Management from 1994-1997 and New York University from 2004-2006.

The team of Dan Sommer is composed of himself and the following individuals: James Tamplin, Joe Flaherty, Jack Groetzinger, Joe Defilippi, Amanda Herson, Zach Klein, Nadia Boujarwah, Raj De Datta, Andy Palmer, and Noah Glass. All of these individuals are founders of the company.
