Michael Guay has a background in data science and financial analysis. Michael started their career as a Teaching Assistant at McGill University in 2015 before moving on to work at MedCash as a Financial Analyst and Administration. In this role, they built the company's accounting system and managed payroll and account analysis. In 2017, they joined SplitmediaLabs, Ltd. as a Data Scientist, where they were responsible for data mining, constructing ETL pipelines, and building and maintaining database tables. Most recently, in 2022, they founded their own company, Founderpath, as a Data Science Engineer.
Michael Guay received their education from McGill University and Concordia University. Michael attended Concordia University from 2008 to 2012 and obtained a degree in Honours Political Science with Distinction. During their time at Concordia, they also pursued a minor in Economics and International Development. From 2013 to 2015, Michael studied at McGill University and earned a degree in Agricultural Economics with a focus on Environmental and Development Economics. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate of Chinese Language Proficiency from the Communications University of China in May 2010.
