Impact Analytics Lead at Founders Pledge

Matthew Apergi-Jenkins has a diverse work experience spanning different organizations. Matthew currently works at Founders Pledge as the Impact Analytics Lead since February 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Interim Director at The Karen Hilltribes Trust from December 2021 to September 2022. In this role, they were responsible for overall management and leadership of the charity, including monitoring and evaluation of projects, fundraising, financial management, and people management.

Before their role at The Karen Hilltribes Trust, Matthew worked at Founders Pledge from 2019 to 2021. Matthew held the position of Deployment Lead - Grants & Monitoring, where they facilitated and managed grants to recipient charities and conducted data analysis to evaluate the efficacy of charitable outputs. Matthew also designed due diligence and monitoring processes, co-authored the organization's first Impact Report, and wrote the Zero Harm Grant-making policy. Matthew is currently on an 18-month sabbatical and plans to return to Founders Pledge in February 2023.

Matthew's earlier experiences include working as a Risk Manager and Operations Analyst at Green Deal Finance Company from 2017 to 2019, a Temporary Supervisor/Donor Care Caller at UrbanLeaf in 2017, and various roles at Dulwich Picture Gallery Cafe from 2011 to 2015, including Floor Manager and Head Waiter/Waiter.

Matthew Apergi-Jenkins obtained a Master of Arts degree in Human Rights from UCL in 2017. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Exeter in 2015. Matthew'ssecondary education includes A Levels in Geography, Economics, and English from St Dunstan's College from 2009 to 2011, and GCSEs from the same institution from 2007 to 2009. Matthew also obtained a P.O.S.T. Certificate in Peacekeeping and Human Rights from the P.O.T.I. Peace Operatives Training Institute in 2015.
