Michael Laplaca

Michael LaPlaca has over 19 years of experience in the restaurant industry. Michael began their career in 2001 as an Area Director of Operations at Cosi, where they worked until 2004. In 2004, LaPlaca joined Chopt Creative Salad Company as Vice President of Operations, a position they held for over 15 years until 2020. In January 2020, they became the Vice President of Operations at Founders Table Restaurant Group, where they are responsible for creating, acquiring, and cultivating innovative and profitable restaurant companies. LaPlaca's expertise lies in driving the growth of industry-leading culinary concepts through digital and operational innovation.

Michael LaPlaca attended the University of Day to Day Restaurant Ops from 1984 to 2023. During their time there, they earned a major in the study of people's behavior and a minor in food studies.
