Michel Streuli

Michel Streuli has extensive work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Michel is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Foundery and Managing Member at Foundery Innovations Inc. and Foundery Labs, LLC respectively, both since 2021. Previously, they held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Pionyr Immunotherapeutics from 2018 to 2021, and also served as the Senior Vice President of Research at the same company from 2016 to 2021.

Prior to their roles at Pionyr Immunotherapeutics, Streuli worked at Gilead Sciences as the Head of Immunology from 2013 to 2016, and at Merck as the Head of Immune Receptor Program & Biologics Strategy, Infectious Diseases & Vaccine Franchises from 2012 to 2013. Michel also held the position of Executive Director, Therapeutic Area Biology and Pharmacology Department, Biologics Discovery at Merck from 2009 to 2012.

Before joining Merck, Streuli held various senior positions at Schering-Plough Research Institute, Organon BioSciences N.V., and ImmunoGen, Inc. Michel served as the Senior Director of Biological Research at Schering-Plough Research Institute from 2007 to 2009, the Executive Director of Research at Organon BioSciences N.V. from 2006 to 2007, and held different roles including Senior Director of Discovery Research, Director of Discovery Research, and Head of Exploratory Research, and Head of Cell Line Development at ImmunoGen, Inc. from 2001 to 2005.

Streuli's early career includes working as an Associate Professor of Pathology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute from 1998 to 2001, and as an Assistant Professor of Pathology from 1991 to 1997. Michel also worked as a Research Fellow in Pathology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute from 1986 to 1991.

Michel Streuli obtained their Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Zurich, where they pursued their education from 1979 to 1986.
