Venkataraman Sriram

Venkataraman Sriram has a diverse work experience in the field of immunotherapy and biologics development. Venkataraman is currently serving as the Chief Scientific Officer at Foundery Innovations Inc., a company focused on prioritization and prosecution of target opportunities in immunotherapy. Prior to this, they worked at Pionyr Immunotherapeutics, where they held various roles including Vice President, Senior Director, and Director. Before that, they worked at Gilead Sciences as a Senior Research Scientist, and at Merck as a Principal Scientist, Associate Principal Scientist, and Senior Scientist. Venkataraman also gained expertise in cell biology during their time at Scios Inc. (J&J). Venkataraman started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Indiana University School of Medicine.

Venkataraman Sriram started their education journey at the University of Madras in 1987, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Venkataraman completed their undergraduate studies in 1990 and then proceeded to Bharathiar University for their Master's degree in Biochemistry from 1990 to 1992. Afterward, Sriram returned to the University of Madras and pursued a PhD in Biochemistry/Immunology from 1996 to 2001.
