Georgia Diamantopoulou

Georgia Diamantopoulou is an experienced professional in EU policy and animal welfare, currently serving as the Head of EU Policy and EU Companion Animal Policy Coordinator at FOUR PAWS since September 2018. Prior to this role, Georgia worked as a researcher at Eurogroup for Animals, focusing on trade and animal welfare policies, and as a policy assistant at the European Parliament, where responsibilities included policy advisory and public relations. Additional experience includes roles at EURACTIV and EurActiv.gr, specializing in EU public affairs, policy research, and business development. Georgia's academic background includes a Master's degree in Animal Welfare, Ethics and the Law from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, alongside degrees in Cultures & Development Studies and International Relations & EU Affairs from KU Leuven and Panteion University, respectively.
