Volker Gaßner

Volker Gaßner serves as the Director for VIER PFOTEN in Germany since April 2024. Gaßner has been the founder of the Campaigning Academy Berlin since May 2014, focusing on developing effective campaigning skills. Previously, Gaßner held various leadership positions at Greenpeace e.V., including Leitung Agenda & Rapid Response from January 2019 to March 2024 and Teamleitung Presse & Strategische Kommunikation from January 2008 to January 2019. Gaßner also served on the board of Greenpeace Energy eG from June 2002 to June 2009 and worked as a project leader and campaigner at Greenpeace e.V. from January 2000 to December 2007. Gaßner's educational background includes a Diplom in Biology from Universität Marburg, earned in 1999, and a Vordiplom in Biology from Universität Frankfurt. Additionally, Gaßner completed training as a Bankkaufmann at Frankfurter Volksbank from 1990 to 1992.
