Joe Weber is the founder and president of Four Star Mushrooms, a controlled environment agriculture company that produces specialty mushrooms year-round. With previous experience as a field operations technician at Blue Raven Solar and as an ecological restoration intern at HLR Engineering, Joe has developed a strong background in environmental science and sustainable practices. Joe also worked as a residential and construction crew member at The Brickman Group, where Joe gained valuable knowledge in landscape maintenance. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Four Star Mushrooms' purpose is to create more sustainable and equitable food and ecological systems by revolutionizing the cultivation of rare, unique, and nutrient-dense mushrooms and utilizing mycelium as a catalyst to remediate soil and restore ecosystems. Our vision is that of a future where food is grown sustainably in and around urban centers, allowing our native ecosystems to become strongholds of biological diversity, sustainable food production, and carbon sequestration to mitigate the negative effects of climate change.
