Vice President of Engineering at Fourier

Carl Taussig is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Fourier since June 2023. Previously, they worked as a Consultant at TV Enterprises starting from January 1981. Prior to their current role, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at LTA Research from March 2020 to January 2023. Carl also held the position of Director of Advanced Materials at Amazon Lab126 from October 2015 to March 2020, where they led the development of new materials for enhanced product functionality and reduced manufacturing costs. Before that, they served as the VP Research and Advanced Development at E Ink Corporation from July 2013 to September 2015. Carl's extensive experience includes various roles at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories, including Director of Advanced Displays Research, Systems Program Manager, and MTS. Carl was also one of the Co-Founders of Phicot Inc, where they worked from November 2008 to January 2013.

Carl Taussig completed their Bachelor of Science (with distinction) in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University from 1976 to 1980. Carl then pursued further studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they obtained their Master of Science (SM) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1980 to 1982. Carl Taussig's education journey culminated with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they earned from 1982 to 1986.
