Sowmya Thyagarajan

Sowmya Thyagarajan has a diverse work experience. In 2012, they were a Summer Intern at Advanced Data Processing Research Institute (ADRIN), where they conducted a review of recent techniques used in satellite image processing with focus on DEM processing. In 2013, they were a Research Intern at Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), where they worked on internal combustion engine technology. In 2014, they were an Intern at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW), where they compared a method to estimate the mass of major aircraft components with the one given in "Torenbeek" with respect to approach and accuracy. In 2015, they were a Graduate Research Intern at Politecnico di Milano. In 2016, they were a PhD DAAD Researcher at German Aerospace Center (DLR). In 2020, they were an Investor at RentNap. In 2021, they became President Germany-India Business Council at WICCI - Women's Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Finally, in 2022, they became Co-Founder & Strategic Advisor at S2S Dynamics.

Sowmya Thyagarajan is currently enrolled at Hamburg University of Technology. Prior to this, they attended Amity Institute of Space Science and Technology from 2010 to 2015, where they received a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)+M-Tech in Aerospace+Avionics.
