Levern Engel

Levern Engel has a diverse work experience in the media and entertainment industry. Levern began their career as the Head of Film and Television at Ochre Moving Pictures from 2006 to 2007. Levern then joined Endemol South Africa, initially as the Head of Entertainment Television and later as the Managing Director from 2008 to 2010. In 2011, Engel co-owned Jungle Works for a brief period. From 2012 to 2016, they served as the CEO of Modern African Productions (MAP). Currently, Engel holds the position of Director of Content Production at Fox Networks Group, which they have been with since 2016.

Levern Engel attended the University of Cape Town from 1988 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Drama. In 1991, they furthered their education at the same university and completed a Higher Diploma in Education, specializing in English and Drama.
