In 2014, they joined NFL Network as an Ad Operations Coordinator and stayed with the company until 2015. In the same year, they briefly worked at Innovid as an Ad Operations professional. Since 2015, Shannon has been working at Fox Networks Group, where they have held various roles, including Senior Campaign Manager, Associate Director, Director, and currently Vice President of Ad Operations.
Shannon O'Brien attended the State University of New York at Oswego from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations.
