Jen Smith

Jen Smith has been working in the theater industry for over 15 years. Jen started their career as a freelance lighting designer and board operator, before landing their first stage manager gig at Appleton West High School. From there, they went on to work as a technical theater director and instructor at the Renaissance School for the Arts. In 2007, they joined the Boogie and the Yoyoz as their lighting designer and board operator, a position they held for two years.

In 2009, Jen made the transition to working full-time as a stage manager, first at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center and then at IATSE Local 470. Jen is currently still working as a stage manager at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.

Jen Smith has a BFA in Technical Theatre Design and Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Technical Theatre Design and Technology from the University of Wisconsin- Fox Valley. Jen also has a General Studies degree from Appleton West High School. Jen is certified in American Red Cross First Aid and CPR.

Jen Smith reports to Gerald Henley, Director of Production & Facility Operations. Some of their coworkers include Ryan Griswold - Health & Safety Supervisor, Zara Gudino - Facility Services Supervisor, and Adam Krieger - Facility & Operations Manager.
