Sabrina Chapman

Trustee at Foxdale Village

Sabrina holds an A.B. from Mount Holyoke College, an M.Ed. degree in Education/English from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Social Gerontology from Penn State. She has served as a Penn State faculty member and taught courses such as Introductory Sociology, Psychological and Sociological Aspects of Death and Dying, Medical Sociology, Social Problems, and the Sociology of Aging. While at Penn State, Sabrina was appointed as Coordinator of Women’s Studies and as the founding Director of the Center for Women Students. During this time, she was also active in the National Women’s Studies Association (NWSA); National Association of Women Deans, Administrators, and Counselors (NAWDAC); and the Big 10 Women’s Advocacy Group. Sabrina has been a resident at Foxdale Village since 2011. She has served as a member, vice-president and president of the Residents Association from 2012 to 2016, and is currently a member of the Strategic Planning Committee and a co-chair of Foxdale’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
