Sophie Winwood

Sophie Winwood is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with extensive experience in venture capital and technology. As Co-Founder and CEO of WVC:E since April 2022, Sophie promotes international inclusion, empowerment, and integration within the VC space. In January 2024, Sophie took on the role of Operating Partner at Foxe Capital, supporting early-stage founders at the intersection of technology and societal change. Additionally, Sophie is an investor in multiple organizations, including Ember and Twice Commerce, and was a Founding Member of Chief in the UK. Previously, Sophie served as Investment Principal at Anthemis Group, focusing on early-stage investments in FinTech and InsurTech across Europe and the US. Academic credentials include a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry from the University of Oxford and certification as an ACA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
