Tashia Batstone has had a diverse work experience spanning over 30 years. Tashia is currently serving as the President and CEO of FP Canada since May 2021. Prior to that, they held various roles at the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) from 2012 to 2021, including Senior Vice President External Relations and Business Development and Vice President, Education Services. Tashia also served as the CEO of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Newfoundland and Labrador from 2007 to 2012. In addition, Tashia has worked as a Lecturer at Memorial University of Newfoundland and the University of Pittsburgh-Titusville. Tashia began their career as a Chartered Accountant at Walters Hoffe Chartered Accountants and later worked as an Audit Senior at Grant Thornton LLP in Canada.
Tashia Batstone obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Finance from Memorial University of Newfoundland from 1986 to 1991. Tashia then pursued further studies at Atlantic School of Chartered Accountancy from 1991 to 1993, where they earned a degree in Chartered Accountancy. In 2006 to 2007, Tashia completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
In addition to their educational achievements, Tashia Batstone has obtained certifications in their field. Tashia became a Chartered Accountant through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Newfoundland and Labrador in December 1993. Later, in March 2013, they obtained the Chartered Professional Accountant certification through CPA NL (Chartered Professional Accountants of Newfoundland and Labrador).
