Alex Omari is a dedicated public health professional with extensive experience in sexual and reproductive health (SRH) programming and country engagement across East and Southern Africa. Currently serving as the Regional Manager for Country Engagement at FP2030, Alex focuses on managing commitments in 23 countries, ensuring alignment with gender equality and rights-based principles. With roles in educational mentorship at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the University of Minnesota, Alex contributes to the development of future public health leaders. Previous positions include Technical FP/RH Lead for AMREF and leading various initiatives with the International Youth Alliance for Family Planning. Alex holds multiple degrees in public health and policy, complemented by strategic leadership training from the University of Illinois.
