Tim Bekhuys

Tim Bekhuys, GCB.D, currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Sustainability & External Relations at FPX Nickel Corp, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this, Tim operated as the Principal at Bekhuys & Associates, providing ESG consulting services for the resource sector. From August 2018 to January 2023, Tim was Vice President of Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability at SSR Mining Inc., where Tim significantly enhanced ESG performance and oversaw the release of the company's first sustainability report. Tim’s experience includes key roles at New Gold Inc., AMEC, Tetra Tech Mining & Minerals, EBA Engineering Consultants Ltd, and PGL, with specialized focus on environmental management, permitting, community engagement, and large-scale project management. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Victoria and has completed the Competent Boards Certificate Program.
