Michael Van Swaaij

Michael Van Swaaij is a business advisor and entrepreneur who has held various leadership positions at some of the world's most successful companies. Michael is currently an advisor at Fractal Labs, and they also serve on the advisory board of the Cambridge Judge Business School.

Van Swaaij began their career in the Netherlands as the regional managing director of AOL Europe. Michael then moved to Bertelsmann, where they served as the director of new technologies. In 2006, they joined Skype Technologies as its chairman and CEO.

Under Van Swaaij's leadership, Skype became one of the world's most popular communication platforms. In 2009, they helped Skype become a part of eBay, where they served as its chief strategy officer and CFO. After eight years with eBay, Van Swaaij left to pursue other opportunities.

Van Swaaij is a Fellow at the Cambridge Judge Business School, where they have also served on its advisory board for over eight years. Michael is a respected authority on business strategy and innovation, and they continue to advise companies on how to achieve success in today's ever-changing marketplace.

Michael Van Swaaij has an MBA from INSEAD and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. Michael also has a degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Twente.
