Sam McMahan has a diverse work experience starting from 1993 to the present. They began as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Florida and then worked as a Teacher at Neues Gymnasium Oldenburg. In 1996, they became a Language Instructor at INLINGUA. From 1999 to 2010, they served as a Senior Immigration Coordinator at Paul Hastings. Following this, they joined Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP as an Immigration Specialist from 2010 to 2012. Currently, they are working at Fragomen, where they started as a Senior Paralegal from 2012 to 2015. They then became a Supervising Paralegal from 2015 to 2020, and currently hold the position of Business Immigration Manager from 2020 onwards.
Sam McMahan obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian/German from Sheffield University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Afterwards, they pursued a Master's degree in German at the University of Florida from 1993 to 1995.
