Oscar Carlsson has a diverse work experience spanning from 2012 to 2021. In 2012, they were a Software Developer (intern) at Ericsson. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Data Scientist, Product at Spotify, where they worked in cross-functional teams of engineers and designers to study user behavior, evaluate strategic initiatives, and experiment with new features. During this time, they also completed a Master thesis titled "Cluster user music session" and served as a Student Ambassador for Spotify at Chalmers University. In 2017, they began working at Booking.com as a Data Scientist, Product, where they were part of the customer service data science unit and worked on improving procedures in the larger CS operations, quantify customer impact of CS, and exploratory analysis to find future opportunities. Oscar also created and presented strategies to improve use of data in CS, built data tools adopted on a company level, and provided individual mentorship of other data scientists. In 2018, they held the roles of Head of Growth and Lead Data Scientist at Framer, and was an Advisor at Forza Football. In 2021, they became an Advisor at Mindler.
Oscar Carlsson completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from Chalmers University of Technology from 2009 to 2012. Oscar then went on to complete a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Algorithms, Language and Logic from 2012 to 2014, also from Chalmers University of Technology.
