Wouter Smeding

Wouter Smeding is a seasoned Sr. Construction & Commissioning Engineer with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently employed at Plug Power since December 2021, Wouter leads activities related to the fabrication, testing, construction, commissioning, and startup of hydrogen facilities and electrolyzers. Prior to this, Wouter worked at Frames from January 2010, overseeing construction and quality control for process equipment in the oil and gas industry. Wouter's career began at Oceanwide, where a trainee position involved day-to-day operations in gas production and support for offshore installations. Educational qualifications include degrees in Process Engineering, Petrochemistry, Chemistry Education, and Physics Education from NHL Hogeschool.
