Alex Underwood

Alex Underwood is a highly skilled Lead Lighting/Lookdev Technical Director with extensive experience in visual effects and lighting for film. Currently at Framestore since April 2019, notable projects include "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," "The Little Mermaid," and the Netflix production "1899." Prior roles include contributions at MPC as Lead Lookdev Technical Director on "Shazam" and "Maleficent 2," as well as various technical and supervisory positions at Platige Image and Universal Production Partners. Alex's career began with foundational roles in lighting and generalist work at Terminal FX, mental dRive studio, and freelance projects following a Bachelor's degree in International Economics and Management from Kyiv National Economics University.
