Ben Walant

Ben Walant is a skilled Matte Painter with extensive experience in creating photoreal environments for television shows and commercials at Framestore since September 2019. Prior to this role, Ben served as a Matte Painter and CG Artist at The Mill, contributing to high-profile projects for clients such as Budlight and Cartier while collaborating closely with compositors and 3D artists. Ben's freelance work includes serving as Lead Matte Painter for the film "Foresaken," where four matte paintings were created using Maya and Photoshop. As Art Director at RareCandy, Ben managed creative teams to establish the website’s aesthetic and gathered talent for projects. With a foundational background in illustration, including a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, Ben's artistic skills extend to freelance illustrations and set design at The Harvey School.
