Daniel Scofield

Daniel Scofield is an academic professional with extensive experience in mathematics education, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Francis Marion University since July 2018, where responsibilities include teaching courses such as Abstract Algebra, Calculus I, Calculus II, College Algebra II, Discrete Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, and Real Analysis. Daniel also advises the FMU Math Club and the South Carolina Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon, and has led funded projects focusing on undergraduate research in data science and supplemental instruction in gateway mathematics. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at North Carolina State University from August 2013 to May 2018, where Daniel taught various mathematics courses and collaborated on course content development. Daniel holds a PhD and MS in Mathematics from North Carolina State University, and a BS in Mathematics from Grove City College.
