Joel Phillips has extensive experience in the medical device industry. Joel most recently served as the Director of Regulatory and Quality Assurance at Francis Medical, a clinical-stage start-up developing treatment technology for prostate cancer. In this role, they played a crucial role in FDA engagement and the approval of the company's pivotal trial. Prior to this, Joel worked at Incisive Surgical for over 10 years, where they held the position of Director of Quality Assurance. During their time there, they achieved impressive results with a high rate of quality and a significant reduction in complaint rates through design changes. Before Incisive Surgical, Joel worked at Anulex Technologies as an Operations Manager and at Velocimed/St. Jude Medical as a Process Development & Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Joel played a key role in the rapid development and acquisition of Velocimed by St. Jude Medical. Joel's early career includes a role as a Senior Process Development Engineer at Scimed/Boston Scientific. Joel Phillips has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Beloit College. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Certified Manager of Quality/Operational Excellence (CMQOE), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP), and ISO 13485:2016 Lead Auditor (TPECS).
