Charla Johnson

Charla Johnson has a comprehensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Charla currently holds the position of Director Clinical Information Systems & Informatics at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System since April 2023. From December 2018 to April 2023, they served as the System Director, Nursing Informatics at the same organization. Additionally, Charla has been actively involved in the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses (NAON), where they held the position of President Elect from June 2020 to April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital as the Manager of Community Education and Professional Development from December 2013 to December 2018. Charla also has a significant tenure at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, where they held multiple roles including Director of Care Management, Program Coordinator for Orthopaedic Service Line, Clinical Educator, Assistant Nurse Manager in Orthopaedics, and Staff Nurse in Orthopaedics. Charla'scareer started at Lane Regional Medical Center as a Lab Clerk from May 1982 to May 1985.

Charla Johnson, DNP, RN-BC, ONC, FNAON, obtained their Diploma in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Our Lady of the Lake College in 1987. In 2000, they earned their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Loyola University New Orleans. Then, from 2003 to 2006, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Nursing Education at Southeastern Louisiana University. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in Nursing Leadership & Education at Grand Canyon University between 2018 and 2020.
