Laura Knitt possesses extensive experience in project management and compliance within the housing sector, currently serving as an Account Executive at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development since January 2022. Laura has a long-standing commitment to community engagement and nonprofit consulting, demonstrated through volunteer efforts as a bicycle tour guide with the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust and as a Senior Consultant at Sharpe Group, providing expert advice on planned giving and nonprofit governance. Recognized for leadership contributions as the Director and Secretary of the Chicago Council on Planned Giving, Laura has also managed complex estate projects and legal compliance for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Educationally, Laura holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science and Law from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
