The Frankfort Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency in the City of Frankfort, Indiana. The department, composed of 36 sworn law enforcement officers, is tasked with the tremendous responsibility of providing a wide variety of public safety services with a primary focus on crime reduction, investigation, and enforcement of state laws and local ordinances. It is the mission of the Frankfort Police Department to be a model of excellence by enhancing the quality of life in the City of Frankfort for all citizens by working in partnership with the community, within the U.S. Constitution and state and local laws to provide the best possible service for fighting crime, preserving peace, reducing fear and fostering a safe community.
