Jon Winn

Director of Information Systems at FRANKLIN COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER

Jon Winn has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jon started their career as an Associate Software Design Engineer at Inter-Tel in 2004, where they gained experience in product defect resolution, testing, and enhancement. During this time, they also worked on VoIP research and development, as well as designing and implementing a C++/MFC-based "initial use" wizard for a VoIP endpoint business phone system.

In 2006, Jon joined RR Donnelley as a Programmer Analyst I, where they developed and maintained custom data processing applications on IBM mainframe and Unix/Solaris platforms. Jon utilized various languages and software, including Exstream (HP) Dialogue, JCL, COBOL, Perl, XML, C/C++, bash scripting, and proprietary scripting languages. Jon eventually progressed to the role of Programmer Analyst II, where their responsibilities included redesigning a Python-based server/client application for customized IBM processing.

In 2014, Jon transitioned to Franklin County Medical Center, initially joining as an IT Support Specialist. In this role, they provided general IT support for hospital and clinic employees and systems. Jon played a key role in EHR migrations through custom programming using SQL and was instrumental in analyzing, selecting, and implementing various Information Systems packages. These packages included Web Helpdesk, Antivirus, SEIM, SSO, and more. Jon then advanced to the position of Director of Information Systems, which they currently hold.

Throughout their career, Jon has exhibited strong technical skills, including proficiency in programming languages such as Perl, C/C++, Python, and bash scripting. Jon also has experience with source code revision control, bug/ticket tracking, and regression testing.

Jon Winn attended DeVry University-Arizona from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Engineering Technology.
