Teresa Cruz possesses extensive experience in social work, currently serving as a Social Work Intern at both the Franklin-McKinley School District and East Side Union High School District since October and September 2017, respectively. Previous roles include Social Work Internships at Gardner Health Services and Folsom Cordova Unified School District, as well as a Social Worker position at Foundation for Medical Care of Tulare and Kings Counties, Inc., where responsibilities included developing care plans and facilitating access to essential services for Humana members. Teresa’s experience also includes a Social Work Assistant role at Sierra View Medical Center, focusing on discharge planning and post-discharge services, and an early role as a Peers Against Substance Abuse Counselor with Omni Youth Programs. Teresa holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from San Jose State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from California State University-Sacramento.
