Jay Salato

Jay Salato is the current Head of Upper School at FRANKLIN ROAD ACADEMY INC. Prior to this, they served as the Dean of Student Life, 8th Grade Chair, and Convocation Coordinator at Franklin Road Academy. Jay also taught all levels of middle school French and coached varsity and junior varsity basketball and middle school golf. In addition, they helped to design the advisory curriculum for the 8th grade. Jay is a graduate of Franklin Road Academy and also attended the Klingenstein Summer Institute as a Summer Fellow in 2014.

Jay Salato has a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Independent School Leadership from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Secondary Education and Teaching from Vanderbilt University, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in French from Vanderbilt University.

Jay Salato reports to Sean Casey, Head of School. They work with Channing Clark - Head of Middle School, Stacey Banks-Houston - Director of Entrepreneurial Leadership, and Steven Compton - Director of Information Systems.
