Tom Rybak

Chief Information Officer at Franklin Street

Tom Rybak serves as Franklin Street’s Chief Information Officer, overseeing the company’s information technology operation and organization. He leads the coordination, decision making, and planning of the IT department as well as provides direction and support for IT solutions by working closely with company executives to identify and implement cost-effective technology solutions for Franklin Street.

Since joining the company in 2011, Mr. Rybak has integrated a diverse range of technologies and is leading the development and management of Franklin Street’s Enterprise Resource Planning software. This proprietary platform serves as the company’s customer relationship management system, system of record and data mining platform.

With more than 10 years in the field, Mr. Rybak previously worked served as Senior Network Engineer for The Bank of Tampa, where he leveraged his knowledge of hardware, software, and web technologies in a variety of roles from help desk support to maintaining an electronic banking site with assets totaling more than $1 billion.

In 2002, Mr. Rybak established a very successful technology news and review website. As the President and Chief Editor, Mr. Rybak and his staff covered a broad spectrum of computer hardware, software, industry analysis, and nearly all aspects of high-performance computing.

As a leader within Franklin Street, Mr. Rybak was named the company’s 2012 and 2013 Corporate Employee of the Year, received the 2012 Biggest Impact award, and was named Outstanding Contributor in 2011 and 2012. He also volunteers for the Academy Prep Center of Tampa sitting on its Technology Committee.

Mr. Rybak graduated from Boston University’s Computer Science and Information Technology program and holds several industry certifications.
