Anne Simpson

Anne Simpson is a seasoned professional in the field of sustainability and finance, currently serving as the Global Head of Sustainability at Franklin Templeton since February 2022. In addition to this role, Anne holds positions as a Visiting Fellow at the University of Oxford and a Lecturer in Sustainable Finance and Impact Investment at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, both since 2021. Previous experience includes Managing Investment Director at CalPERS, where responsibilities encompassed board governance and sustainability from May 2009 to February 2022, as well as roles such as Executive Director at the International Corporate Governance Network and Head of Secretariat at the Global Corporate Governance Forum at The World Bank. Anne's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's degree from the University of Oxford.
