Michael K. Simpson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Michael K. started their career at The Stephen R. Covey Leadership Center in 1987, where they served as a Senior Consultant for eight years. In 1998, they joined PwC as a Principal Consultant in their Strategic and Organizational Change Practice. From 2000 to 2002, they worked at America to Go as Vice President of Business Development. Michael K. then held the position of Vice President of Sales & Marketing at MediConnect Record Retrieval from 2002 to 2005. In 2002, they also founded eBusiness Advisory & Consulting Services (eBACS) and served as CEO. In 2005, they became the Managing Director of Executive Coaching & Global Delivery at FranklinCovey. From 2008 to the present, they have been the CEO of Simpson Executive Coaching. In 2018, they briefly served as CEO of Impact International Education - China. Finally, in 2019, they became a Fellow at Harvard University IOC through the Institute of Coaching at McLean/Harvard Medical School. Overall, Michael K. Simpson has a wealth of experience in executive coaching, consulting, business development, and academia.

Michael K. Simpson's education history includes a Bachelor's Degree in Kennedy Center for International Studies & Business from Brigham Young University, which they obtained from 1986 to 1990. In 1997, they pursued a Master's Degree in Organizational Behavior, Strategy, Organization, & Leadership from Columbia University, which they completed in 1998. Following this, they attended Brigham Young University again in 1995 and 1996 as a Visiting Professor at South China University of Technology, where they focused on Business, International Trade, & English. In 2008 to 2009, they received an Executive Education Certificate in Executive Coaching from Columbia University. Recently, in 2022, they participated in the Post Graduate Strategic Leadership Program at Harvard University as part of their Executive Education. Alongside their formal education, Michael has also acquired various certifications, such as The 4 Essential Roles of Leadership Facilitator, Stakeholder Centered Coaching Program, and The Speed of Trust Facilitator, among others.
