Karen Shi

Karen Shi, CPA, currently serves as a Financial Analyst at Fraser Health Authority since October 2022. Prior to this role, Karen gained extensive experience in audit and assurance at BDO Canada, starting as a Co-op in January 2019 and progressing to Junior Accountant, Intermediate Accountant, and finally Senior Accountant by October 2022. Key responsibilities included managing audit engagements for public sector and not-for-profit clients, ensuring quality work and meeting deadlines. Earlier experiences included a role as a Property Accountant Co-op at Bentall Kennedy, providing full-cycle month-end assistance, and an Income Tax Officer Co-op at Canada Revenue Agency, focusing on taxpayer election requests. Karen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from UBC Sauder School of Business, obtained in 2019.
