Karen then moved to HP in 2006 as a Consumer Marketing Communications Manager. In this role, they were responsible for communication deliverables for HP Imaging & Printing Group through PR, BTL, ATL, Interactive, Experiential, and Retail channels. Karen also managed external agencies, media relations, and cross-business unit collaborations.

In 2008, Tan joined DHL Express as a Regional Communications Specialist for Southeast Asia. In this role, they were responsible for developing and executing communications strategies to support business objectives across the region. Karen also managed media relations, internal communications, and crisis communications.

Tan joined Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd in 2011 as the Director of Communications, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability. In this role, they are responsible for the company's overall communications strategy, including media relations, internal communications, investor relations, public affairs, and corporate social responsibility.

Karen Tan completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics at Universiti Sains Malaysia, majoring in Economics and minoring in Mass Communications.

Karen Tan reports to Lim Yew Hoe, CEO. They work with Bryan Lee - Director, Special Projects, Zainal Abidin Musa - Senior Manager, Business Development, Foods & Innovation, and Tony Chan - COO, Sri Nona.
