Rocío Bayón

Rockie C. is an accomplished Program Manager at Lonza since March 2023, where responsibilities include directing multidisciplinary project teams and managing global collaborations for clinical manufacturing of biologics. Previously, Rockie served as Senior Scientist and Program Lead at CareDx, Inc. from June 2021 to March 2023, overseeing product development and automation of genomics-based diagnostics and authoring a peer-reviewed publication on clinical biomarkers in kidney transplant recipients. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Scientist and Scientist II at Senti Biosciences focusing on gene therapy, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles. Rockie began a career with an internship at Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures after obtaining a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from The Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
