João Moura

João Moura has worked in a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2007. João began their career as a (Artificial Intelligence) Research Engineer at Altice Labs before becoming a Research Assistant at Vienna University of Technology and an Artificial Intelligence Research Intern at IBM Italy - Centre for Advanced Studies. In 2009, they were a Teaching Assistant at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. From 2010 to 2015, they worked at AnubisNetworks as a Data Scientist / AI Engineer and Academic Relations Manager. During this time, they also worked at Optylon as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and at Elsevier as a Senior Knowledge Representation Specialist / Data Scientist. In 2017, they became the Head of Data Science and Lead Data Scientist at Payvision | Global Acquiring. In 2019, they founded and became the CEO and CTO of Fraudio.

João Moura completed a Licenciatura in Computer Science and Engineering at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa between 2001 and 2007. João then pursued a European MSc in Computational Logic at both the Technische Universität Wien and the Universidade Nova de Lisboa between 2007 and 2009. In 2016, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science - Artificial Inteligence at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In 2018, they began a Master of Business Administration in Big Data & Business Analytics at the University of Amsterdam - Amsterdam Business School.
