As the leader of Fraym’s data science team, Swetha has pioneered Fraym’s use of machine learning and artificial intelligence. Her commitment to the use of technology in development took her to Tanzania where she operationalized the use of UAVs and field-tested data collection protocols to improve data quality in agriculture. Swetha also previously worked at the Center for Sustainable Development - Earth Institute on a project to build early warning systems to reduce forest fires in Indonesia. She has a BA in History and International Affairs from The George Washington University, and an MPA from Columbia University in Development Practice where she focused on the applicable of data science to international development.
