James Robertson

As a Tax Compliance & Controversy Specialist in the Tax Practice of Frazier & Deeter, James Robertson works with high-net-worth individuals and families in the preparation of tax returns, tax planning and facilitating tax compliance. He works with many clients requiring multi-state tax returns and has experience with complex tax issues and tax reduction strategies. He specializes in tax issue resolution and serves as a firm’s Tax Compliance & Controversy Specialist. 

His career includes industrial engineering and cost accounting experience, manufacturing management experience, profit/loss responsibility and starting his own business prior to moving back into the tax industry. He has over a decade of tax return preparation, review and audit experience, including representation of clients at the administration level of the U.S. Tax Court. 

James specializes in tax return preparation, review and planning and tax problem solving for high-net-worth clients of the firm. He has experience in the paper converting, flexible packaging, graphic services, financial services and retail industries. 

In addition to over 5 years with the firm, James has appeared locally on WSB-TV, WXIA 11 Alive, Peachtree TV and nationally on the Fox News Channel. He has also been featured in articles in the AJC, Atlanta Business Chronicle and the Marietta Daily Journal commenting on current tax-related events.
