Kristin Sokul, APR, CFRE, currently serves as Senior Director of Advancement for Communications, Marketing, and Media/PR at Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan, a position held since October 2021. In this role, Kristin is responsible for developing and implementing marketing, communications, and public relations strategies to enhance Gleaners' brand identity and drive philanthropic revenue. Prior to this, Kristin held the position of Director of Advancement Strategy and Planning, where responsibilities included collaborating with the Advancement leadership team to create and execute the annual Advancement Plan. Kristin's extensive background in public relations and marketing includes a directorial role at Tanner Friedman, overseeing communication strategies across diverse industries, and as an Account Executive at Marx Layne & Company, implementing comprehensive campaigns for various sectors. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Integrated Public Relations and Interpersonal and Public Communication from Central Michigan University.

Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan

Gleaners Community Food Bank, with broad community support, works to solve hunger in southeastern Michigan. In collaboration with our member agencies, the Feeding America network, and our program partners, we provide millions of pounds of donated and purchased food to people in need.
