Mallory Smith

Mallory Smith, PhD, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Foundation Relations at Fred Hutch since June 2023. Prior experience includes a role as Science Policy Manager at the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from January 2022 to June 2023, and a position as Postdoctoral Fellow at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development from August 2020 to January 2022. Smith's academic background consists of a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology earned at the University of Kansas Medical Center between 2015 and 2020, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of North Georgia, completed in 2014. Earlier professional experience includes serving as a Clinical Chemist at Aeon Clinical Laboratories from 2014 to 2015 and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Kansas Medical Center from August 2015 to August 2020.
