Megha Gupta

Megha Gupta is a highly experienced scientist specializing in gene therapy and drug discovery, currently serving as a Staff Scientist and vector core lead at Fred Hutch since February 2020. There, Megha focuses on designing and producing viral vectors for the treatment of infectious diseases and cancer, while also overseeing quality control testing for clinical-grade research vectors. Prior to this role, Megha held positions at the Infectious Disease Research Institute, managing high-throughput screening for tuberculosis drug discovery and leading a team of research assistants. Earlier career experiences include research on glioblastoma patient support, postdoctoral work on malaria vaccine research, and studying immune responses during anthrax infection. Megha holds a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Delhi University, a Master's in Biotechnology from Jamia Hamdard, and a PhD in Biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru Vishvavidyalaya, along with a certification in Project Management in Biotechnology from the University of Washington.
