Neal Sanderson has worked as a Chief Mate/Senior DPO for various companies in the maritime industry. Neal started their most recent position at Fred. Olsen Windcarrier in 2019 and is currently employed there. Prior to that, they worked at Seafox from 2018 to 2019. From 2017 to 2018, they worked at Amasus Shipping as a Chief Mate/Senior DPO. In 2017, they also had a brief stint at Seafox. Before that, they worked at Abis Shipping from 2016 to 2017. In 2015, Neal worked at Abis Shipping and Seafox again, and in 2014, they worked at Workfox B.V. / Seafox Contractors B.V. and Abis Shipping.
Neal Sanderson has a Bachelor of Maritime Operations degree with a nautical specialization from Maritiem Instituut Willem Barentsz. Neal has obtained various additional certifications including ECDIS Generic Certificate, Transas NaviSailor 4000 ECDIS Type Specific Certificate, Certificate of Competency as Chief Mate with no limitations, Offshore Stability and Ballast Control for Semi-Submersibles, APOS LBL Operator Course, Ships Security Officer, DP Operators Certificate, CAA Offshore Operators Certificate of Competence (Restricted), and General Operator's Certificate (GMDSS).
