Marie MacCormack has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the nonprofit sector. Marie started their career as the Director of Development at the Ontario NDP Caucus from 2000 to 2003. Marie then moved on to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, where they served as the Director of Development from 2003 to 2006. Marie then joined Eva's as the Director of Development from 2007 to 2012, where they were responsible for fundraising, events, communications, and volunteer management. Following their time at Eva's, Marie became the Executive Director of Homes First from 2012 to 2015, leading board development and implementing new policies and programs. Currently, Marie is working at Fred Victor as the Director of Fundraising & Communications, a role they have held since 2015. Marie recently transitioned to the position of VP of Philanthropy & Communications, where they continue to advocate for a more equitable society, improve the health, income, and housing stability of individuals experiencing poverty and homelessness.
From 1987 to 1991, Marie MacCormack attended the University of Toronto - University of St. Michael's College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Marie'smajor was in Canadian Studies/Political Science.
